Join this celebration of the historic and ongoing role that art and design played in growing communities and strengthening neighborhoods on Chicago’s South Side. Participants will experience this rich history through a variety of activities, including all-ages artmaking workshops and other artist-led projects, live performances, and film screenings. Free trolley transportation between venues is provided.

This all-day festival of art, music, film, and food kicks-off a series of exhibitions and projects about the history of South Side art and design that will take place at the DuSable Museum of African American History, Museum of Contemporary Photography, Smart Museum of Art, and South Side Community Art Center during the fall of 2018 as part of Art Design Chicago.

This event is free and open to the public.
