Intuit's exhibition Chicago Calling: Art Against the Flow explores Chicago’s history of robust recognition and acceptance of self-taught art and artists.

Join exhibition co-curators Kenneth C. Burkhart and Lisa Stone as they discuss the themes embodied in the works of the 10 Chicago artists on view in the exhibition: Henry Darger, William Dawson, Lee Godie, Mr. Imagination, Aldo Piacenza, Pauline Simon, Drossos Skyllas, Dr. Charles Smith, Wesley Willis, and Joseph Yoakum. The curators share their musings on associations among works in the exhibition, including resistance to disenfranchisement, to conventional ideals of beauty, and much more.

This event is free and open to the public.
